Action For Climate Emergency Website By Sreyas
Sreyas assumed control of the ACE website to handle maintenance and campaign management. The campaign management was implemented in EveryAction previously, and currently, in Engaging Networks. The website was created using WordPress. Subdomains were built in Softr, Engaging Networks, and Django. Custom integration with Salesforce, Airtable, BigQuery, and MCommons was implemented.
The client was very satisfied with the features integrated and the UI/UX provided by our team, thus more and more youth were attracted to the site and hence to the organization.
Clients requirements:
- The project’s main objective was to implement campaign management using Engaging Networks and integrating BigQuery into the website.
- Campaign submission information needs to be taken to Salesforce and Mcommons for tracking and reporting
- Real-time email validation
- Maintenance and customer service of the website
- Improve UI and UX
Challenges:
- Airtable integration: Airtable was integrated to capture both success and failure data insertion to Engaging Networks and to investigate the reasons for failure.
- BigQuery Integration: BigQuery requires authentication and authorization of the data submitted challenges were faced while the insertion of data from Airtable to BigQuery.
Implemented Solutions:
- Airtable was integrated for submitting data to Engaging Networks and made data submission successful.
- PHP base implementation was provided to take the submission value from Engaging Networks to BigQuery.
- Never Bounce was suggested for real-time email validation.
- Google Civic API was used for fetching voting location details.
- Google Places API was used to get the correct address from user-suggested inputs.
- Ziptastic was implemented for Goe coding.
